The literary world is awash with dystopian literature – especially relating to climate. This gloomy outlook can easily affect us, even if the stories are exciting. “What can we do?” “The situation’s hopeless.” “I’m not going to change; we’re doomed anyway.” “Not my problem. I’ll be long gone before the **** hits the fan.”
A conference like this shows you just how much is being done in Australia and elsewhere. A conference like this introduces you to dozens of dedicated experts. A conference like this fosters powerful, upbeat novels that unite like minds and give us all hope. We can all do something. We must.
